Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Ok, the MW is up. I've shortened the filename a bit.

I couldn't find anyone credited for the translation, I guess because this is a composite effort of multiple translators and editors. I'll work to make some minor adjustments to the first volume in the catalog, so we have a consistent format for the series.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot.
I could only find the editor's name. Whether or not he was also the translator (or one of a group) it's difficult to know.

In the same vein, should I record the author's name as just
Louis de Bourrienne
which is what is said in Volume 1?

The choices made in the first volume aren't binding for the rest of the series. I want to standardize the titles because otherwise vol 1 would appear after the other volumes in alphabetic order, which can make it hard to find. The full form of the name used in this source also appears in reference works, so that would be the most obvious choice. However, if you prefer to use the shorter version in the intro, it seems to appear frequently enough in running text of history books to provide a reasonable basis for that choice as well.

You could advertise for PLs in the forum Listeners & Editors Wanted. The instructions are on the wiki:

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/ProofListening_Template

An admin will then pin your post at the top.

I think this looks super interesting to DPL if you haven't found anyone yet!
If she's passin' back this way
I'm not that hard to find
Tell her she can look me up
If she's got the time
