About chapter 5, Checker said it passed although the volume is low. I looked for mp3gain but it seems like it's old software--I wasn't able to find a working version to upload. Can 5 stand as is? If not, please direct me to another software to make it louder.

Hi Anne! 🌼

Are you recording with Audacity? For I don`t know the better, quicker and easier way to manage the recordings for LV, esp to amplify them. Therefore, I`d absolutely advise you to use it.

Well, as Dave says,
Anne,
Before you export the file as an mp3 file you should be able amplify it (~89dB). If you are using Audacity I can direct you to a link that shows you how to do that. Because the file is so close to 86dB, I can amplify it when I'm cataloging the book. If that's the only issue then its status can be changed to pl ok..
Dave
since volume`s issues are the only problem with Sec 05, I sign it PL OK and he`ll amplify it during the cataloguing.
But, as long as I understand, it`s an exception and we must care to upload the correct files by ourselves, letting not MCs to do additional work.

Can`t wait to hear you again! 🍰

Sec 08 PL notes:
08:58 – 09:05 – some noise, a kind of some weird echo. I suppose, it will be better to re-record this piece, if possible.

The rest is OK. Thank you! πŸ¦‘

12:13 - would have been soared out of its composure – I hear - would have been scared out of its composure

Am I right to suppose it to be a typo in the book?
Thanx! ✨

Did you ever try Audacity? It`s quite easy to use and seems to be good for our purposes. 🍹

I read all it again and realize not to have answered your questions decently, Anne!

It must be exactly the link I`ve left previously here...

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to amplify using Audacity, with pictures, for your convenience.

Well, section 12 has been placed really silently... 🌞

Sec 12 PL notes:

11:45 – missing – β€œthe different yet similar question which agitated the mind” (p. 202 of the book)

The rest is very well. 🌸 🍍

I see, now that section is marked as "Ready for spot PL", but I notice no changes there. Some glitch, perhaps? πŸ’

Can't figure out what went wrong there :hmm: . I've uploaded chapter 8 again; the notes should say 33:44 revised. Thanks!

Still the same... I`m afraid I couldn`t even suppose what`s the problem here. 🦧
Maybe craigdav1 will help us to clarify all of it, pls? :hmm:

The "weird noise" is barely audible and brief. My attempts to remove it were not successful. I'd either re-record that small section or leave it as is. It's brief and doesn't prevent the listener from hearing the reader.
