IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

MW coming up.

I added the summary from volume 1 to the Project Screen for this volume. I also shortened the filenames. Long ones cause problems. It just has to be unique. Let me know if any other changes are needed. Should we advertise for a DPL?

I've downloaded the sections to PL when LV is down tomorrow morning.

(Don't forget to mark the status of the sections as Ready for PL when you add them to the Magic Window.) :)

Chapter 1:
26:15 - "But he had not so much..." There's a crinkling sound in this sentence

I cannot compare your previous recordings to this one; I haven't listened to them. But there's a lot of background noise in the vocals themselves but not in the silences. I'm wondering if there's some way to clean that up, or maybe to do a different method of noise reduction to make the effect less noticeable. What software are you using? Could you upload a raw sample (about 15 seconds of recording without any effects used on it)?

Chapter 2: PL OK

Chapter 3:
1:11 - Stumble & repeat: "Tired of it? He swirled his s-- ... Tired of it? He twirled his stick"

Chapter 4: PL OK

(Chapters 2-4 were better in the background noise department.)

It is the reader's choice. Often readers have preferred DPLs.
