Eight Cousins, by Louisa May Alcott (1832 - 1888)
Eight Cousins, or The Aunt-Hill was published in 1875 by American novelist Louisa May Alcott. It is the story of Rose Campbell, a lonely and sickly girl who has been recently orphaned and must now reside with her maiden great aunts, who are the matriarchs of her wealthy Boston family. When Rose's guardian, Uncle Alec, returns from abroad, he takes over her care. She is suddenly confronted with a male guardian and seven male cousins, none of whom she knows well. IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Have fun.

I'll move you to Going Solo. You can advertise for a proof listener if one doesn't come along.
Thanks,

The ~ in the subject line is one way. It lets us know you need someone to PL. That's why I'm here! I just finished up PLing another project and would love to join you as DPL :)

Hi Marina and Jennlea,
I wanted to make sure I could update this before leaving for the day so Jennlea has been added as DPL. I put the recordings in "Ready for PL" status. Marina, you can do that when you add a recording the magic window.
Have a lovely day!

Hi Marina!

I just love your reading style and am really going to enjoy listening to you read this story :9:

I have just a couple of notes for you.

Preface Note:

-Please add "End of Preface" at the end before the 5 seconds of silence

Chapter 1 Note:
-8:55 to 8:57 there is some sort of audio blip on the phrase "I was so miserable that I 'most cried my eyes out". I think it would be worth it to re-record that small bit.

Chapter 2 Note:
4:23- there is an extra "fired" that can be cut out.

Once you've made the corrections and re-uploaded the files, change the status to "Ready for Spot PL" and post here that the files are ready for me to check.

I am looking forward to listening to more!
