Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

(If you have trouble reading the image above, please message an admin)
You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: alg1001
When your upload is complete, you will receive a link - please post it in this thread.
Hi J,
I will MC this for you. You will need to fill out the Magic Window. I'll send you instructions on how to do that and how to get access to the MW.
Thanks,
-Amy

You will have to write your own summary rather than use one from Goodreads.

Hi, sorry had some unexpected dental surgery so have been delayed. Has this been moved to Going Solo (I didn't see it by searching)? Are there additional instruction (beyond those included in the thread) for accessing the MW? Thanks!
Hi,
I will move it to Going Solo. You should have received a private message from me with information on getting access to your magic window and how to update it. It is still in my outbox so you must not have noticed it. If you need anything let me know.
Thanks,
-Amy

Jennifer,
I have some technical updates needed to the file as well.
-rename the file in lowercase letters and in this format: theodoresavage_01_hamilton_128kb
-the recording must be in Mono
-the volume is too low. It needs to be amplified by 5db
-reduce the opening silence to 1 second
-increase the closing silence to 5 seconds
Please make these adjustments to the file as well.
-Amy
p.s. These are the things that should be noticed when you submit a test, which is why we recommend doing one.

Hi Jennifer,
I see now you did do a test. I shouldn't have assumed you didn't.
Happy Saturday!

This is really weird. A couple of days ago I found this book needed a DPL. I looked at this forum page and asked if I could be the DPL. Amy, I think it was you who suggested I PM Jennifer, so I did. It is still in my "outbox". But, in addition to that, I seem to remember a posting by a new member who had PLed Chapter 5 and left some notes, and someone (Amy?) left him a note about how the whole process is done as well as come comments about what he said in the PL post. Now all that stuff is gone. I am more that a little confused. But I would still like to be the DPL if it is still available. And Jennifer, good luck recovering from the surgery. That stuff is no fun at all.
Wayne We never really grow up, we just learn how to act in public.
Hi,
Jennifer hasn't been in yet since you offered to be DPL for her project. I will sign you up as it.
She should be along.
Thanks for your help with this!
