good to know on the pronunciations!
maybe I'll get a minute to re-record if I decide it really matters.
I just recorded letters 8 and 9, somewhere in which there's a mention of "Worcester county"-- is that war-chester county, or is it more Englishlike wuhster county? I recorded both so I could check and decide during editing.
another thing I may need to decide is whether to split up Letter 9. it is way longer than the others. if the edited file is more than 40-50 minutes it might be nicer to split it in half so all our sections are more similar in duration.
any advice on either of these points is very welcome!
Ah, Worcester! Almost moved there once. Definitely not war-chester. wooster, wuhster or wister is fine as long as it's two syllables. I couldn't never master the pronunciation that the locals had for it, but they have a regional accent. There are multiple accents around here depending on the part of Boston, or if it is the "South Shore" or "North Shore." So, I have a funny accent wherever I go.
Dividing chapters is always a toss-up. One soloist I PL for always divides them so that the sections are 20-30 minutes. I do think it makes it easier -- for reader and listener. But there is also the view that it is better to keep things intact even if the chapters are all different lengths. So, the preference is entirely yours. Now that wasn't very helpful, was it.
