Volunteers outside the USA: Nahum Isaac Stone died in 1966. The author's work is still protected by copyright in places like Europe, where copyright is author's death plus 70 years, Australia (author's death plus 70 years for authors who died after 1955) or Canada (author's death plus 50 years), UNLESS the rule of shorter term applies. <p>
As a precursor to Capital, Marx outlines his analysis of capitalism and critiques classical ecomonic theories. ( Tray)

  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

MW coming up.

edit: A better text source is:
http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/46423

I deleted the birth and death years for the translator. I would suggest only mentioning the translator by name in the first intro and the book ending statement. It's your call though. Also I shortened the filename as long ones lead to mistakes. Let me know if any other changes are needed.

That would be great thank you. I've got a new microphone so let me know if my sound quality is better this time around.

Prefaces and chap 1 part 1 are up.
Part 1 is a little over an hour, is that ok? It made sense to end part 1 at that point but I can upload a shorter file if its needed.

That's fine, as long as it is not over 70 minutes.

Jim, you are now the BC and the author of the first post should you wish to edit the book description.

Section 3 has a repeat at 30:30-30:32. I can excise the incorrect part if you wish, rather than re-recording the entire section. This section is a very complicated one with a significant number of footnotes, all of which are admirably handled by the original recorder. Jim
