Hi Lori,
August is the last time he logged into Librivox. He should be listening as you work on it. I sent him a message. If he doesn't reply back soon, he must not be able to continue. You never know what is happening in someone's life or if they just lost interest in Librivox.
Then we can advertise for another proof listener if necessary.
I'm sorry.

Hi Amy,

Thanks, I understand. My sections are going to be running around 35 minutes +/- to the end. It's sometimes difficult reading, and this has been more comfortable.

Take care,
Lori

I'm not sure I can commit to DPLing this though I'll do sections when I can if no DPL is found.

Ok, I'll try to look at them soon. For the future (which makes it easier to PLers), can you set the section status in the MW as "Ready for Spot PL" and give timestamps for the changes to make for quick checking? The easiest way to do that in Audacity is when you make changes, start from the beginning (not the end of the track) and after you make a change, drop a label at the location (control-B on Windows), then move on to the next edit until the end. Then you can look at the label locations (it only works if you start at the start and move to the end - otherwise the labels won't match up any more as you edit other parts of the audio) and give timestamps in your post so that I can quickly jump to the edit locations.

The way I like to do it is to copy the PL notes and give new timestamps for the old comments. Eg:
Section 3 Spot checks
[new time] Repeat "And also to renounce"
[new time] Repeat "fed up" vs "set up"
[new time] Repeat "With what else he thought observable"
[new time] Repeat "a very"
[new time] Burp?

Hi InTheDesert,

Thank you for asking. No one has ever asked for that before. I start at the end when I'm making corrections for exactly that reason, but even after the corrections are made I'll make sure you have new times for spot checks for future sections.

Here are the spot check times for sections 3 and 4:
Section 3 Spot checks
[13:10] Repeat "And also to renounce"
[14:26] Repeat "fed up" vs "set up"
[28:23] Repeat "With what else he thought observable"
[45:06] Repeat "a very"
[~45:11] Burp?

Section 4 PL Notes:
[14:10] Pause and repeat "on the strictest"
[17:29] Repeat "the shame of it"

Best wishes,
Lori

I am going to give you MW access at this point so you can update it for the ones you proof listen.
Thanks!

Sections 3 and 4 are PL ok!

Sorry for the hassle. Giving the timestamps means that spot checks become a 30 second task rather than a much bigger one. It's not something that has to be done - just something that speeds up turnaround time!

Hi Amy and/or InTheDesert,

I could use some help. In the text at the bottom of page 104, I'm having a hard time understanding the hyphenated word in this sentence, "earnestly to the great Li- ties of Religion." Is that word that is not legible, "Liberties"? When I copy and pasted it to the message, the first letter looks like an "L," but in the text it looks more like a B or a D. Can you suggest what word that is? Is it Liberties? I will read it that way, but please take a look and advise me, if you can.

Thanks,
Lori
