A Christmas Honeymoon by Frances Aymar Mathews (1855 - 1923).

Newlyweds Betty Revere and Peter Van Zandt are completely smitten with each other. Their wedding is said to have been one of the most beautiful ever seen in New York. A conflict between the couple causes a series of events to take place which aren't rectified till years later by a special little boy looking for Christmas happiness. ( Jenn Broda)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/achristmashoney00mathgoog
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Chapter 1 is in the MW for when a DPL volunteers :)

Note: Since this is a Christmas story I am intending to get this finished the first of December so it is available for the holiday season. It isn't a terribly long book.

May I DPL?

I have listened to Ch. 1 and it is PL OK!

My suspicion is that this young woman will fall in love with the violinist!
Sunday is a good PL day for me.

The "violin man" makes his appearance in Chapter 4 up in the MW!

This author sure does like to use a lot of lists in her reading. I confess it makes it a little difficult and confusing for me to read aloud

Good thing he doesn't play the drums. (But could it get even worse?)
