The file numbers can be updated easily during the cataloging process. There is no need to update them now.
Thanks,
-Amy
Oh, good! I'll try to make it clear in my PL notes what section and Chapter they are connected to.

Well, I have finished my initial PL of all chapters.
Below are my notes. The chapters correspond with the actual chapter and the Section numbers in the MW. The section numbers correspond with the section numbers as they are in the uploaded file names.

Chapter 3 Section 4
8:26 Repeat “yet of”
12:32 Repeat “just as bad”

Chapter 4 Section 5
4:32 Repeat “believing a physician”

Chapter 5 Section 6
PL OK

Chapter 6 Section 7
PL OK

Chapter 7 Section 8
1:53 Repeat “at” in phrase “at my mother’s feet”

Chapter 8 Section 9
PL OK

Chapter 9 Section 10
2:28 – 3:01 Sounds like a car in the background. Correction optional.
Otherwise PL OK
This is the best chapter in the book!

Upload the corrected files under the same file name to keep these straight, change file length in the MW as needed, and then change the status to Ready for Spot PL

Then post a note here to alert me that these are Ready for Spot PL

Larry,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner! I was out of town until yesterday. The intros can definitely be shortened and fixed. As far as the reverb is concerned, the recordings were done in a large room and it is not an added effect. Unfortunately, I can't remove that "reverb" on this recording unless I re-record all of these. I would be willing to re-record if it will be too much of a problem. For future recordings, I will not record in that room! Thank you for your opinions and critique! We want these to be listened to with enjoyment and not have distraction that will take away!

I saw another post where you gave time specific correction. I will try to edit those mistakes this coming week.

According to Amy's response, am I to keep the numbering as is and the numbering discrepancy will be fixed at cataloging? I can rename the files with the correct numbering now if that makes it easier.

Thank you both,
Dave

Hi Dave,
For the file numbering, whenever you upload a file with the same name it replaces the prior one named that, so they would all have to be moved in the magic window to the appropriate section. You would have to do it to all the files. It will probably be easier just to change them at cataloging time. It is no trouble to do.
Have a nice day

Good to hear from you, Dave!

It is entirely up to you on the intros and outros. If you want to keep them as, is, then that is fine. Just from a listener's point of view, I think the short form is better, but you can leave in the credit to podcast and web site if you like. Or, maybe have them either as at just the beginning or end.

The reverb issue is one a lot of us face. I finally made a few changes -- brought the mike in closer and hung a few blankets in back of the recording space. I have hooks, so just put them up when recording. But, no need to record this again!

IF you are editing ALL of the sections, then I think you can rename them with the correct numbers. Otherwise, follow Amy's advice and keep the numbering the same and she can fix them at the end.

All the best,
Larry

Larry,

I have updated the suggested intros and outros of every file, fixed all of your edits except for the car noise in the background, and renamed the files to fit with the section numbers.

I just realized that the timestamps that you gave me to edit are not in the same spots because of editing the intros.

New timestamps for your edit notes are as follows:

Chapter 2
3:26 Missed edit – “thousands attempt . . . “
5:38 Repeat “some are, some are”

Chapter 3
8:11 Repeat “yet of”
12:16 Repeat “just as bad”

Chapter 4
4:15 Repeat “believing a physician”

Chapter 7
1:39 Repeat “at” in phrase “at my mother’s feet”

I will update the MW with the new files.

OK, you are all set, David!
Thank you for the new time stamps which made my task easier. :)

So, all of the sections now correspond to their proper place in the MW, so Amy doesn't need to make any adjustments.

Thank you for the privilege of listening to your recording.
I'm looking forward to the next one.
