The Fiend's Delight by Dod Grile -
pseudonym of Ambrose Bierce (1842 - 1914)
.

According to Milton Subotsky, "Bierce helped pioneer the psychological horror story" ( April6090)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/4793
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I did just change the author to reflect what it shows.
I did not realize just how small this book is until I put the wc in for my benefit of course.

Future items I will send to you, thank you.

Dod Grile is in the catalog as a pseudonym for Ambrose Bierce... I know that as I’m the one who added it 8-)

You will need to split section 4 into 2 or 3 sections. Obviously, how you do that will be up to you, but we don’t want files more than about an hour long (roughly 8,000 words). Doesn’t have to be precise.

Just looked more in depth at the 3rd section. Here are my thoughts.
That section actually has a small section, 2369 wc, at the beginning of it with the 2nd portion being 13283 wc.
I would like to take the 2nd section down to 4 parts, each amounting to 3211 wc each.
Total parts will end up being 5 with the first part standing as it is. I can read that amount of text best with no rush on my part,
Share your thoughts with me on the above ideas.

I see no problem with that.
Use the "add section" button in the MW. New sections are automatically added at the bottom, but you can drag them into place if you want them somewhere else.If you create sections you later don't use, I can delete them easily.

section 04 is no longer needed, can you please delete it?
What do you think of how I managed to put chapter 3 into smaller sections?
wc is irrelevant as I am not planning on counting the words that is just my loose approximation for my sanity.

Section 4 deleted.
I would suggest saying “part #” for the sections with the same title. Completely your choice, of course.
