It is pl- ok. But what a strange story.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

"Old Fags" ready for PL. Rather a sad one, this.

And "The Angel of Accomplishment" is ready, too.

Both are pl- ok. He has something against success...
And yes, Old Faggs was sad. A story about class and ruin. But it was very tuching.

Still here. Trying to get back to recording, and will do so just as soon as I can find out why my software has inexplicably stopped talking to the microphone.

Thanks for the update, Michael! Hang in there.

That's a fun thing to wait for. You know something good is coming.

At long last I have a new laptop and have reloaded all the software. Of course, as it's a Mac I needed to send off for a new cable to fit the new style of USB socket, but I now have that, too, and IT WORKS! Away for a few days from tomorrow, but if all goes well I hope to get back to recording within the week.

Back to recording at long last. I hope all the settings are OK, as I'm now on both a new laptop and a new version of Audacity. Let me know if anything looks odd.

"The Match" is uploaded and ready for PL. This must be one of Aumonier's most powerful stories: ostensibly about cricket until the very last page.

Hi Michael,
Stav has left Librivox. Maybe she will continue to proof listen your book, if you ask her. You will have to find/advertise for a new proof listener, if she doesn't come back.

Hi Amy

Oh dear, I hadn't seen that. Since Stav explicitly said in her post viewtopic.php?f=24&t=88519&p=1931137#p1931137 that she can no longer act as DPL, I think I will need to advertise for someone else. Thanks for letting me know.

Is there a volunteer who would be able to take over please? There are five short stories still to go, one of which is ready for PL.
Hi Michael.
You have five sections remaining of about 45 minutes each?
The project is 18 months old, is that correct?
Roughly one episode per two months?
Only ONE section awaits PL?
If the answer is Yes to each question, I will step forward.
Cheers
Chris
P.S. Thanks Anne

Hi Chris

I'd be very happy for you to take over as DPL if you're willing. The answers to your questions are "yes, but" - the "but" being that I'm expecting to pick up the pace a little now, with perhaps one story every couple of weeks or so.
