lol! Scott is working at home these days, and overhears many of my PL sections. His comment just now as this one ended: "Hmm, if there's a problem with lackluster heroines, perhaps they need to reconsider their supplier." lolol He got a chuckle when I read him your posted comment about this first Opie section.

23 is PL OK

She and Maria Edgeworth both seem extremely connected to their fathers. Of course, as the daughter of Thackeray, maybe the author is projecting a little? Anyhow, 25 is up!

These two sections were so dinky that I decided to go ahead and do them both. Sections 26 and 27 are up!

Sections 26 and 27 are both PL OK

So, I went to find "The Father and Daughter," so I could add it to my quilting-time audiobook lineup, but we don't have it yet. It's in Project Gutenberg: The Father and the Daughter. Looks like reprints of it are only 64 pages long.

Is that something which looks like you'd like to record at some point (in which case, I'd really love to PL)? If not, I'll stick it in my file folder of bucket-list recordings I'd enjoy doing some day, when I finish getting my current projects (and the ones I adopted for Elizabby) cleared away. :)

Well, I have been looking for a second solo project, but I don’t think I read fiction that well. But I would kind of like to look at it- might be a nice change. Have been doing some interesting chapters in collaborative works; at the moment, the history of the advisory period in Vietnam HARD to read ( for me, anyhow).
I will let you know shortly.

I think I will pass on that one - but thanks for mentioning it!
