That's a fine start. :) Section 1 is PL OK

(I did want to make sure you wanted to leave out the chapter-heading poem?)

MRS. BARBAULD.
1743-1825.
'I've heard of the lady, and good words went with her name.'

I think I wanted to put it in! Thanks! I will take care of that today and reload it for a spot check.
The reader view of this on Safari for this one is kind of strange. Not only did it leave out that heading poem, but it also left out all of the chapter numbers. When I recorded this Tuesday I read on and on, until finally it occurred to me that the section was only supposed to be about ten minutes, and I could not remember prereading It. Then I switched off reader view and found I was at the end of chapter three!

How funny! I've done that a couple of times, too. :)

I'll go back in the MW and mark for PL Notes so it stands out for you.

Thanks again for bringing that to my attention. Old English teachers do NOT leave out lines from Shakespeare! :D
You will find it inserted at 35 seconds.

Thank you! Sometimes I think I am better at patching than at actual recording. Which is...disturbing.🤣

Section 2 is up!
Since I have never read anything, as far as I know, by Anna Barbauld, I did some checking up on her. This first poem I saw of hers seems to be a reaction to the childhood described in section 2 :
Wisdom! thine empire I disclaim,
Thou empty boast of pompous name!
In gloomy shade of cloisters dwell,
But never haunt my cheerful cell:
Hail to Pleasure’s frolic train!
Hail to Fancy’s golden reign!
Festive Mirth, and Laughter wild,
Free and sportful as the child!
Hope with eager sparkling eyes,
And easy faith, and fond surprise!—
Let these, in fairy colours drest,
For ever share my careless breast:
Then, though wise I may not be,
The wise themselves shall envy me.

Thanks for sharing a sample of her poetry - No carrying forward of stiff shirts for her!

Section 2 is mostly perfect - The only thing is that the author is missing from the intro at :03.
