Vida vertiginosa é uma coletânea de crônicas de João do Rio, autor conhecido por seus retratos da vida carioca na virada do século XX. Esta obra começa com uma de suas crônicas mais marcantes, "A Era do Automóvel', que testemunha a chegada dos automóveis à então capital federal.
