Hi Larry

Section 23 is uploaded for checking please at 87.8 dB.

Section 23 - - - The Fete - Part 4 - - - Length: 12:6

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/villette_23_bronte_128kb.mp3

That was a MIGHTY long Chapter (about 12,000 words, which I split into 4 sections).

So I think I am now about a quarter of the way through Villette - phew.

It's a public holiday here in SA today, so enjoying the time off. Back to the office tomorrow.

Best wishes,

Leanne

Hi Larry

Section 24 is also uploaded for checking please at 88.9 dB.

Section 24 - - - The Long Vacation - Part 1 - - - Length: 20:52

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/villette_24_bronte_128kb.mp3

That's the last of the recordings I did back in April during lockdown when I had some time to spare, and I gradually edited them all. I will try to record another section on the weekend.

Best wishes,
Leanne

PL OK

I was hearing about dreary rainy days, which is what we've had this week, but very welcome after the draught conditions this summer. But, I was not happy to see a coating of snow on the ground this morning. We've had brilliant autumn colors, but I'm not looking forward to winter. Nonetheless, I do enjoy having the change of seasons. I've lived where we had none -- except for hot and hotter, or dray and raining.

Another few weeks and we'll be putting in overtime at work (still from home) as Christmas orders pick up.

Trust you are also doing well during these busy days.

Hi Larry,

Thanks so much for PL OK. Also nice to hear from you and have your news.

Work wise, I've been extremely busy, our company was acquired by a smaller company, and I was put on a new project, so lots of changes, and getting into the swing, and systems and processes etc. I also still run a payroll for a small firm of architects in my spare time, and I do tax returns as I am also a tax practitioner, but I end up mostly doing friends, family, my son's girlfriend etc LOL. Sure keeps me busy.

Weather wise, we had a cold winter and here in the Eastern Cape where I live, we are in our 3rd if not 4th year of water restrictions - severe drought this side. Cape Town was also affected up until about 2 years ago, they were fast approaching day zero and then the rains came - and now their dams are 100% full. So we hope and pray for rain this side too.

Otherwise, can't complain, all ok this side. My husband still struggling after his knee replacement which was 18 months ago, and which has now affected his hip and back, as his whole frame is out of alignment.

Anyhow, much to be grateful for, and we plod along.

Take care and be safe

Leanne

PL OK!

Preparing for our U.S Thanksgiving Day tomorrow.
Traditionally the biggest travel holiday of the year.
But, 2020, but still too many people going places.
Many memories of trips to our grandparent's home for this special time.
This year, just our immediate family. But, in the midst of the pandemic and our political chaos, we have much for which to be thankful. :D
