Here is Section 27, at 26.40: https://librivox.org/uploads/craigdav1/journalsofrobertfalconscottvol1_27_scott_128kb.mp3

I missed out recording a couple of paras half way through which I recorded later and inserted but am not completely happy with the result (usual problem, the voice changes quality), so I may revisit this and let you know if and when I do.

A little early as I have a busy upcoming week, also this section is very short at 13.12. Hope all is well with you and Chicago.

29 PL OK.

The "Checker" program that we use here at LV says there is a bit of background noise but I don't hear it so I have marked this as pl ok. Chicago is settling into a new normal and as long as the weather stays pleasant socializing with friends and neighbors is possible. Winter could be a challenge.

Yes, the approaching winter.... there is a darker part of me that says I just hope I finish Scott before the virus gets me too!

Here is Section 30, at 20.06:https://librivox.org/uploads/craigdav1/journalsofrobertfalconscottvol1_30_scott_128kb.mp3
I am using a new digital sound recorder (after 10+ years with the old one), which may make it sound a little different although I did not notice (thankfully) much change. I think that interference your software picked up recently was associated with my old decaying minidisc recorder (I love them but this one was getting past its best). I hope you enjoy the content of the chapter it has a number of interesting incidents, Scott on good form as the narrator. Hope all is well with you and Chicago.

30 PL OK.

File sounds great. Background is completely silent and your voice sounds the same. Life is getting busy here as things are opening up. It's official, hottest June, July and August ever!

Absolutely, I feel it lurking there in the icy mists as I read these earlier chapters....

A nice mix of action, incident and character as the expedition makes its final preparations for the main event!

32 PL OK.

I feel like no more than a chapter should be listened to each day.
