Hi! All my LV emails have been going to my spam for the past couple weeks I just realized a few days ago when I was starting to wonder why all my projects were so quiet hehe. I have been catching up the last couple days, I should be getting to these today or tomorrow, just so you know

Those are all PL OK!
Thanks, I am used to real life where people often expect things done as fast or faster than possible! I appreciate how flexible LV is, I just sometimes have to tell myself to believe it and not feel bad when I do not get things done as quickly as I think they should be. I give others a lot more leeway than I give myself and maybe need to think about that a little

Ah yes, I understand real life! And I'm happy to be patient, knowing that we all have things to do as well as working with LV. I really appreciate the way you PL my recordings - so much so that I have uploaded a few more sections! As always, I'm content to wait until you can fit them in.

So I just finished a biography of Ryle. (A Tender Lion by Bennett Rogers) Very interesting to get some perspective on him and the times he ministered in within the Church of England. I didn't realize that he wrote so many pamphlets, and that he spent so much of his time on the religious issues of the day -- like ritualism and disestablishment.

Thank you, MaryAnn, for drawing my attention to this new book. I’ve just been looking at the Kindle sample, and I’m definitely going to read it! It seems very well researched and written in an engaging way. I’m looking forward to learning more about this remarkable man.

It reads a bit like a dissertation that has been put in book form ... very academic, and not much about his non-professional life. The author was looking to fill a hole that he noted in the other Ryle biographies, so he went a very specific way in his treatment of his subject. I enjoyed it, and appreciated that the author spent time summarizing Ryle's arguments in favor of his position on some of the church issues he faced during his career -- since I'm not planning to read any of those booklets for LV.
