At an average of 92.2, the volume falls slightly outside of the target range (86–92 dB).
But since it's still a "pass with warnings," it's up to you whether this is to be re-adjusted!
16:14 - 眾位 is misread as 諸位
18:15 - 長著嘴 is read as 長張嘴
This section really gave me a thrill. I'd love to hear the next chapter so much!
Cheers,
Yuqing

Hi, Yuqing, I've corrected the 2 places. However, I've not put too much energy into Audacity. I'm not sure if I inadvertently moved some settings. How do I "test" my current playback dB to know whether it's in the target range? Sorry to bug you with this. Any quick pointer is appreciated before I upload.YuqingJune wrote: ↑May 27th, 2020, 3:07 amPL notes:tding wrote: ↑May 26th, 2020, 12:16 pm Hello, Yuqing,

Apparently, Audacity doesn't have a volume checking feature itself.
If I recall correctly, volume adjustment using this app is just a trial-and-error process, i.e. we'll need to de-amplify the whole soundtrack until it looks alright, then export it, and eventually use Checker to see if the volume falls under the target range (86-92 dB).

I can lower volume when I'm cataloging. I don't like to raise it, because it's an automatic process that can't account for clipping. So it's better if the reader raises volume within Audacity.
As to checking volume within Audaicity - there is a plug in for that! See info here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity

Did I do that?! I wonder how the setting got messed up during my export action. Anyway, the file's updated and uploaded! Sorry for the trouble.YuqingJune wrote: ↑June 1st, 2020, 8:32 pmCan you adjust the kbps output please? It should be 120kb, instead of 320. Thanks!

I don't actually know what went wrong, but the bit rate is still 320.
Could you re-export and re-upload the file, please?
Thanks!

Section 07 PL OK!
It's pretty much a standard procedure for PLs - I download the file and "feed" it to the checker app on my computer.
An alert would pop up if anything's wrong, be it volume or format.
Just in case you haven't explored this option, here's a brief intro: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker
Hope this helps!
