Since I began recording for LV in '13, I've been using an old (in computer terms) Gateway PC with Windows 7, which MS now no longer supports. Thinking about getting a modestly priced laptop (my first) and wondered if you, Ann, or anyone reading this, might have any recommendations. :hmm:

I just have an HP laptop from Costco. Nothing too fancy, just straight off the shelf.

Here's Sec. 7.

Thanks for the laptop reply, Ann. I've recently spent quite a bit of time visiting stores and going online doing my due diligence, and this morning I ordered a guess what from guess where: HP from COSTCO! Best price, two months to return it, and a two-year warranty. Delivery as early as tomorrow but latest in four days. NOT looking forward to setting it up and transferring files, so it's nice to be able to rely on a daughter who knows this stuff much better than I do and has offered to help. Meanwhile, the old PC still works, so the transition should be fairly smooth.

Sweet! Costco has great laptops straight off the shelf. I agree that the worst part is transferring files and downloading programs, but once you are done, that is it!

Here's Section 8.

Peace and contentment have returned. I'm happy to be sitting with all my old hardware and just some new software. :9:

Section 10 is ready. Not a bad book at all. No idea where Stacey's going to end up.
