Thanks Dave! That did the trick with regards to accessing the MC/BC section of the admin tools.

Phil - I was able to search for the project by Author and find it listed. However, when I click on the ID I still receive the permissions error. It seems that I have BC access but not access to this specific project? Is there anything else I need to do from my end to resolve that? Thanks again!
You should need to do nothing but what you have done already. The problem was that I could not put you into the system as the BC of this project because it did not have you on the list of potential BCs. Once Dave managed to do that (I simply could not do it!), I assigned you to that slot and voila, it should work. Sorry for the bit of a rough st art but then you have learned a bit about the back end, eh? let's hope it goes smoothly now. I'm sure Epicetetus would just smile and take it all in stride.

Hey Phil - Is it possible to change my Catalog Name to "D. Scott Warren" rather than "dscottwarren"? I requested the latter on my first recording, but the former is probably better long term.

I think I did that already but will check.
EDIT: OK, your catalog name is now D. Scott Warren. Obviously the first time did not take . :D

Just a quick note to update everyone: the project is underway and has not been forgotten. It has been particularly busy at work the last few weeks, and I am about to head out of the country for a couple weeks. I expect to start posting recordings for review around the first of November.

Hi all,

I've uploaded the first section here: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/aselectionfromthediscoursesofepictetuswiththeencheiridion_01_epictetus_128kb.mp3

In listening to it (locally) after exporting, I'm hearing some distortion that I did not hear before exporting, but I can't tell if it is my machine or the file itself. Please let me know how it sounds on your end. I may end up re-recording it if in fact the file's sound is the problem.

Look forward to hearing back! More recordings to follow in short order.

Thanks, Phil. Unfortunately I'm having access issues again.

I am able to login to the BC/MC section. However, when I click on the project ID I receive the "You don't have permissions for this area." error. Can you work the same magic one more time?

When you click on the "BC Admin" link at the bottom of the magic window, what happens? (I don't know what you mean by clickingon the project ID)

Ah, that worked. Thanks, Phil.

I was trying to navigate from the Dashboard, then clicking the "Login (for BCs & MCs)" button to view my projects. In any case, I'm in now!

Hello!
The recording is PL OK! And very nicely read!
The filename seems a bit too long. Probably just discourses_01_epictetus_128kb.mp3 would work as well. :?:

Chapter 2 is PL OK!

By the way, please also mention it in the thread each time you upload a file. This makes it easier for me to be notified that something needs my attention. Thanks!

Great reading! It's an interesting text!
