I have found that if the background noise is not really heard, or even annoying if I can hear it, then I don't worry about it. Sometimes it's because the background noise goes above a certain threshold, or it there is some background vibration that Checker is "hearing." For me, when it is much windier outside, my mic picks it up but I can't hear it.
