Chapter 8 is in the MW. I just realized that on the previous two chapters, I neglected to enter "Ready for PL". Sorry!

In reading these old biographies (which I love), I can never figure out what the rationale is for where they choose to end a chapter. It always seems so random!

I tend to think time restrictions play a part with writers.

Margaret was an amazing woman.

Thank you!
Chapter nine is now in the MW. Interesting chapter, but with all the flubs I made in the "rough draft," I am delighted to be finally through with editing so I can kiss it goodbye! 8-)

Great work.

Margaret's advice to the women prisoners was brilliant!

Thank you (merci). Chapter 11 is in MW, wherein Margaret is saying things in French to people with French names. I very vaguely remember doing well in my French classes in high school - but since I graduated high school in 1974 ( ) ... it's a little bit of a stretch now!

I sympathize! My last French class was Freshman year in college, a little bit longer ago than yours. I find Forvo a useful site for native pronunciations, especially in languages where I have no clue about pronunciation. You might give it a try next time, but giving it your best shot is perfectly acceptable here. :D

Thanks so much!
Could not do without Forvo and Emma saying! But even with help, I note that the French r I used to roll so well has turned into some kind of rogue Italian old lady thing (like me :D ). Luckily, Margaret is moving on to Italy now!
