I don't know why they didn't just hold a seance to answer some of these questions. Of course, they would have had to speak loudly.

Are you talking about a Congressional Investigative Hearing?

Some day scholars will argue about in which city you recorded these words and whether or not it was possible that you did this for free. They will ask, Did not the Emperor offer him at least a florin? Nay, some will argue. A ducat! No, they will find. Kevin writes that it was done out of an abiding respect for Beethoven (whoever he was.)

I have been thinking about sending out a search party. Or a posse.

Haha!

I have a question for you.

Are there any books that describe the growth of centers of music in Colonial America?

And then the Bartender says, "Only the slaves could entertain themselves with their improvised oratorios, their instruments made of discarded wood and cat gut.
Once in a while, I suppose, they would hear something from the French or those Teutons on occasion when copies of manuscripts survive the journey, but they were largely Christian fundamentalists with only ecclesiastical sacred music. Otherwise, music is profane!"

So I turn to my buddy and say, "That bartender, he's wicked smaht."
