[Revised] If you prefer to use PDFs or versions stored at the Archive, it has the 1st printing/edition (Tab`a) without volume 3, volume 1 of the 2nd printing/edition (1914), and the 3rd printing/edition without volume 1 (1927-1930), all from the University of Toronto. These years are based on the front pages. The metadata gives 1914 as the year for the 3rd edition, while the pencil markings on the front pages give 1888-90, which seems to indicate that University of Toronto librarians considered the 3rd edition to be a reprint of the 1st rather than a different publication. It's possible that some of these missing volumes are at the Archive, but hard to find because of inconsistent metadata. I noticed that vol 1 of the 2nd edition is missing the last story from the vol 1 of the 1st edition, but the table of contents for volume 3 in the 1st and 3rd editions seem to list the same stories at a glance.

Aida, I know the whole copyright stuff is annoying... I'm not a big fan of saying "no" all the time either.
But we really need to be sure about this! In the best case this one book of yours will be taken down by archive because it is not clearly out of copyright, and in the worst case all of LibriVox will be shut down. Best to make sure your work can stay up forever, as intended

Looking at the text quickly, the third edition is not okay, since the first volume there was published in 1928 or something? and the others later.

First edition is good, as are the links you sent me via pm. You can also read from the ones on Harvard you suggested above since those books are identical to those that are on archive, including printed copyright on the first page. I was just slightly worried that the links might change or the books might disappear... but in the end, that's true for any online source, really. I'll just make a note of the alternatives and it'll be okay.
