17 PL OK.

Just survived a very long stage production of Hamlet. Few on stage did.

Hi -

A new Chapter

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/queensnecklace_18_dumas_128kb.mp3
5:58.0, 90.1 dB

True - it doesn't go well for the players in the Scottish Play. Was it a good production, in spite of the length?

Thanks for listening

18 PL OK.

Just under three hours so some dialogue was probably left out. Not one of my favorites though the audience was very enthusiastic in its applause at the end.

Second upload for the day! It's rainy and cold...

Here is Chapter 17/Section 19

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/queensnecklace_19_dumas_128kb.mp3
9:37.4, 90.0 dB

I'm not much of a Shakespearean, but I have a granddaughter who is decidedly such, to the extent that one of her professional acting gigs was as Lavinia in Titus for the Christchurch Court Theatre. An awful thing for a grandmother to watch.

Cheers, and thanks

Hi -

Thanks for picking up that spot in Section 20. Indefatiguable is a word that I have a really hard time saying for some reason, and it took many goes to get it right. Obviously I didn't get all the double ups...

It is now uploaded and hopefully OK, but please let me know if not.

Oops. That is an accident that has been waiting to happen.

Thanks for figuring it out. Handy that you are a MC and can peer into the insides of the MW etc.

off topic - sorry both but Gail - I've wanted to have a book on LV I treasured and still have called "The Cradle Ship" written by Edith Howes an NZer but my copy (well it was a family copy is a 1930s one and describes itself as an Australian issue so I can't pretend its a reprint. I've never been able to find an online copy, as a Kiwi do you have any ideas?
