Thanks, Timothy, Ch. 10 is PL OK! :)

For my own reference, I'm putting in the page # where we're at, so I can find it faster next time. We're at 107/252.

Hi Timothy,

Ch. 10 is PL OK. I enjoyed Whitfield's "stylistic take" on these small islands--"rats and lop-eared rabbits." Ruined stone walls disappearing into the sea -- the isles being slowly devoured by the rising sea level--very evocative.

On Ch. 11, you've got one small repeat and a too-long pause at 41.5: "Old Grimsby harbour and St. Helen's pool lie below you [pause] with Dolphin Town and the [repeat] and the neatly arranged church..." Once you fix those you'll be ok.

at this point we're at p 139 (actual page 119).

Hi,
Reloaded
Section 13

I love his work, but in Chapter 17 he goes on a weird racist swerve for a few minutes...

My son was home ill last Monday, and I recorded a bunch of these. Please do feel rushed because I dump a heap in the next little while.

Section 13 is now PL OK.

Sorry to hear about your son being sick and hope he is feeling better.

Most if not all old books, older authors, have their "moments" do they not? Thanks for the heads up.

Yep: he's fine now. Just a tummy bug.

Section 14 is a legend, so it is longer!
