Have you listened to Section 10 yet in full?

Please make the corrections that I already sent you and then complete listening to the reading and see if there are any more edits that need to be done and then complete those edits prior to sending it back to me to listen to it again.

I have set it to See PL Notes in the meantime. Please change to Ready for Spot PL when you are ready for me to listen to it and check the feedback I gave you for the 1st half and then PL the second half.

Thanks so much -

Lynda
I have not listened to Section 10 in full yet. I have a feeling I will be doing that last, because I don't yet have time to edit & listen for quite that long. But I will do it.. and who knows, maybe I will find the time soon. Thank you Lynda! :D <smile> Have a nice day

Hello again Lynda,
Section 15 & 16 are ready for spot PL, and Section 21 is ready for PL. The times of the edits on 15 & 16 are close to what you posted.

Thank you so much!

Hi Elijah -

I have gotten your messages and I have downloaded your recordings and book. I am traveling right now and I will try and get to them in the next few days as time permits.

Thanks for all that work! I hope things are turning around at home.

Hi Elijah -

Before I PL Sections 19, 21 and 22 can you please fix the sampling rate on the recordings? It should be 44.1 kHz (44,100 Hz). The first two recordings were just fine (Sections 17 and 18). You set this when you Export the file - so it should not be hard to do - just open the file in Audacity and then Export the file where the setting on the Export screen should be 44.1 Khz instead of what it is set to right now. It is only those files - 17, 19 and 20 go through the Checker just fine.

Section 17 is PL OK.

Section 18 has one edit at the :58 mark - I heard ripning should be repining (re-PINE-ing) different word.

Before I listen to the longer Sections, I just want to confirm with you that this time you did listen to the recordings before uploading them to me and that you are still planning on doing that for Section 10.

Thank you Lynda! Whenever I record, I'm am trying my best to catch my errors, and I have seen that my recordings are better when I do that. I am being a harder on myself when I'm reading, so it's sort of a yes, and sort of a no. Yes, I hear myself making the mistake, and I correct it, but no, I do not re-listen to the file when it's "done".

EDIT: I will do that for Section 10 though. I will go through the remainder, just when I have more time.

Hi Elijah - I had downloaded them before my plane flight home yesterday and when I was up in the air, I found that the sampling rate had not been changed. When I load them into my Audacity they automatically are updated as my settings are for 44.1khz. Do you want me just to fix them for you? It will only take me a second and I can do it when I am proof listening.

That's really odd. I thought I had changed them. I can do it, but if you want to please go ahead :D <smile>

Hi Elijah -

Section 19 feedback -

2:43 – heard “constrain” should be cens’ring (like censure with an “ing”)
10:43 – heard “leans” should be “leaps”

You can set the sampling rate for this one saying you need to make these changes.

Moving onto Section 20 now.

Hi Elijah -

Sections 15 - 18 are now PL OK

Section 20 is PL OK - well read! It also did not have the sampling issue so it is good to go!

Hi Elijah -

Here is the PL for Section 21 -

2:13 “and there” repeat and remove space
10:33 heard “unreasonable” should be “unseasonable”
11:06 remove the word “nice” not in text
11:27 – said “she” should be “he”
17:45 – 18:08 – repeat of what starts just before 18:09
25:40 – heard “reLIEVed” should be “re LIVE d”

Also, please fix the sampling issue when you export the file.

Lynda
