The Secret of Casa Grande by Helen Randolph ( - 0).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-secret-of-casa-grande-by-helen-randolph/

While visiting their friend, Florence, at her home in Mexico, Jo Ann and Peggy noticed a barred window which has no opening into any of the rooms of an ancient adobe house. Curious to find out what it is, the girls moved to investigate but no one seems eager to help them. Undaunted, the girls made plans to get there only to encounter dangers and find a thrilling discovery. ( Mary Escano)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/44059
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Are you wanting to make your own cover? If so, I can put your name down for it in the Cover Making thread. I have never made a cover, and don't know how to do it. If you are looking for guidance there, it would be better if you went to that thread and looked over the instructions.

I can DPL if you would like. However, I'll be away until 15 Jan and so cannot start until then, and my availability in March will be spotty. If that is a problem and you would rather get someone else, I'll understand.

Hi Penumbra,
No worries! I'm not recording until next week and I'll just upload the chapters once I'm done with it and you can start PL-ing when you come back. I've put in here that this project's deadline is until July-ish as I myself will be busy around February and March so if you're still happy to PL for this project, please do.
Oh, and if you do, WELCOME TO THE PROJECT!!

Just a heads up that I'm still very much active and this project is still very much alive.
Just been very busy with some other activities but I'm gearing to resume the recording this month so please be patient with me.

Sorry about the delay in getting to this.

Chapter 2: Very nicely read! I have one small item for you to consider

03:40 I heard "and so the mystery begins" and expected "and so the mystery deepens"
