Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens (1812 - 1870).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/oliver-twist-version-7-by-charles-dickens/

Orphan boy Oliver is forced into child labor at an early age, and after a simple plea for more food, finds himself alone in the streets of London, where ultimately he becomes the center of attention for a gang of pickpockets. ( Brad "Hamlet" Filippone)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/730
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Your MW is up and ready for you, Brad! I have put 'v8' in the file name, just so that we can make sure that your files don't get mixed up with the other solo projects. If you make sure that your files end up in my folder, we will be just fine! As soon as I know you and Tiffany have seen what magic I have wrought, I will move us over to Going Solo!

As version 7 is on hold at the moment so may never be finished would you both be happy to make this version 7 and I'll renumber the on hold one . It's going to look a bit confusing in the catalogue if it all finishes up with a version 8 and no 7 :D

Does the other Oliver Twist group know about this one so there is no confusion?

I looked, and the other version 7 is now version 99, and it is on hold. If the guy comes back to finish, he will be informed of the change.

I just looked at their thread and it seems to be saying Version 3 for some reason, which I know it can't be.

I'll just forget about it now though. I know to look for "icequeen" on my thread, so I won't get them mixed up.
