Hi Emma,

Good work! I'm enjoying listening to your reading of this book; you do it very well.

Just had a few items to bring to your attention. I don't usually note minor items (under Standard PL), only those that may affect the intent of the author, or not follow from listening to the recording.

(parts to be added or removed are in red)
@4:46 - missing phrase: … to give me one blue eye and one brown eye, instead of a pair of the same color.

@6:00 - repeat: "It was Saturday, wasn't it. It was last Saturday, wasn't it …

@13:43 - missing phrase: … I certainly did feel proud. Then she held me up in front of her, screwed her mouth toward the right …

@19:26 - appears to be a missed edit: "My … wait I think ... My! what heaps and heaps of ...

That's all, the rest was fine and technical specs were good too. :)

Finally, a general comment. I'll PL Chapter 2 tomorrow, but I noticed that you are not including the Chapter title in the recordings (as shown in the Intro instructions in your first post).
Say:
"The Diary of a Birthday Doll, by Ethel Dow. [Chapter]"
I think that is fine, as long as you are being consistent throughout all chapters, but I did want to bring that to your attention, in case you only overlooked it.

If you have any questions, let me know, as I am happy to help.

Chapter 1 notes:

All the edits were fine. :)

The original recording was at the low end of the recommended volume range of 86dB - 92dB, at 86.1dB. With the edits the new file had a volume (85.5dB) outside the range. So the file needs its volume increased. Ideally, 89dB is the target volume to aim for. Sorry for another go-round with this chapter.

Chapter 2 notes:

No issues with the reading; another good one. However, the volume of the file was low at 85.9dB and therefore fell outside the 86dB - 92dB range, so needs to be adjusted.

Chapter 3 notes:

No issues with the reading; I'm very much enjoying it. :)

However, like the prior files, the volume of this file was low at 85.9dB and therefore fell outside the 86dB - 92dB range, causing a warning in Checker. As a suggestion, you may want to increase the volume of the entire recording (Amplify if you use Audacity) about 3.0dB, in order to get it to about 89.0dB, which is in the middle of the acceptable range.

(I did a test on your file, loading it into Audacity, amplifying it 3.0dB, then saving to another .mp3 file. I ran it in Checker and got 88.5 dB, close to the middle of the range. :) )

k, fixed it, I guess I'm just used to doing the opposite, because it was usually to high in other recordings.
