In the Pecos Country by Edward Ellis ( - 0).

This project can be found in our catalog at https://librivox.org/in-the-pecos-country-by-edward-s-ellis/
Edward Sylvester Ellis was a major American author during the era of inexpensive fiction of the nineteenth century (dime novels). Because he wrote under dozens of pseudonyms, as well as under his own name, it is virtually impossible to know exactly how many books he wrote, but it is believed to be in the hundreds. He specialized in boys' stories, inspirational biography, and history for both children and adults. (From FictionDB.com)
This is a western, set in the Pecos River valley in the late 19th century, post Civil War era. ( )
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5828
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I will set this up for you. Also, I've put a tilde ~ before the title to announce that you would like a DPL dedicated proof listener. Is that OK?

Hey Phil,
I think you need to put your MC code in the upload instructions. I mean, I'm pretty sure I know what it is, but... for form's sake?

Hi Phil & Tom,

Question:
I see that I have been added as DPL in the MW, however this project is not showing up in my catalog, reader page, PL view. :hmm:

Welp, since I don't know what that means, I guess that's one for Phil...unless what I just did, putting in the chapter titles and assigning the sections, somehow magically solved the problem. I'm just stumbling around in the dark here. I don't know how any of this actually works. :?

I am sort of in the dark here also. How do you reach your reader page Helen, perhaps I can take a look? Do other things show up and just not this project ?
EDIT: OK, Now I remember it is reached through clicking on your name in any magic window. Could you try again and let me know if it still not there?
