Bunker Bean by Harry Leon Wilson (1867 - 1939).
Young, self conscious, timid stenographer for a New York businessman with a beautiful daughter (the flapper). He emulates stronger types, but alas.....is not them. He grows up in this humorous volume from 1913. ( joseph tabler)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/15743
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

OK, you're ready to go. If I've missed anything or you have questions, please post in the thread here.

Do you have a DPL in mind? If not, you can edit the first post and put a tilde ~ at the very beginning of the subject line. This is our not-so-secret code to potential proof-listeners that one is required.

Have fun!

Thank you, Helen. You're in.

We're fully staffed so I've moved us to Going Solo.

Joseph,

Good start! :)

As a soloist you are your own BC (Book Coordinator). It is your responsibility to fill in and maintain the MW. I see that you have done it before with your Winston Churchill project. Everything should work the same but if you have any problems or questions please post them here.

Also note the correct file naming protocol from your initial post. You have left out the author and the 128kb. And with more than nine sections all numbering needs to be two digits in order for the chapters to sort correctly.

Thanks! I was wondering about that......just happy to get going on it. Will figure it out and take care of it......and rename the file.

:D You responded so quickly! I was messing around still editing my previous post (working on a tablet so it's a bit awkward).

It looks good to me! I edited your link post above so that Helen gets the right one if she happens to click from the thread instead of the MW.
