Hi— just wanted to let Jennifer and anyone else interested that I have not forgotten this project! We recently moved and it’s taking a while to get my home office/craft room set up as it’s the staging area for the boxes that are slowly being emptied into the more crucial rooms—kitchen, living room, bedrooms etc. — and it also needs minor wall repairs and painting so it will be a minute.

As yet I haven’t found another location in the house that works for recording—maybe once rooms have more stuff and curtains etc I can improvise something to get me through.

However, in the meantime—I also dogsit regularly at others’ houses and several of my clients have good rooms for recording in, including one who has me over there at least once a month for several days. I plan to take advantage of these to jam on some recordings that I can edit and post at my leisure from home. I have a stay over there coming up this weekend (26-30) and plan to include several Dudley Graham chapters in my “jam”.

Once they are posted here don’t feel rushed to get them PL’d fast, as it’s entirely possible that I will be back in recording limbo til my next dogsitting gig in mid November!

Thanks for your patience!

Still itching to get back to this! Still have too many echoes in my new "home office" to record there effectively, but I'm working on it. In the meantime, I am dogsitting this weekend at a house that has a good place to record, and I plan to take advantage to knock out a few chapters of this book!

Me too! The dogs that live there are generally pretty good (tho occasionally snore loudly enough for the mike to pick up!) -- but the next door dog likes to get out in the yard and bark for hours so all bets are off when that pup is out and about. Fingers crossed!

Thanks!

I'm home alone and then dog sitting between now and the 31st and planning to do a good bit of recording - I'd like to try to make a push to finish recording this book by the end of the year. However, do NOT feel pressured to keep up at the same rate on PL-ing -- take your time and do your thing whenever.
