Where we were vacationing a decade ago, we were promised Mt. Shasta in our window, however most of the time the air was too smoky, and we saw it only once (through the window, I mean). Hope you are safe there. Merry Christmas / Happy New Year!

The groundhog was right (darned rodent!). I was snowed in all President's weekend, with on and off power. We haven't seen a winter like this one in over a decade. But I'm now back to my favorite avocation, so all is good. How's your winter been so far?

Don't believe the dumb groundhog, check for lemon plums in your grocery store, they are the true and delicious sign of spring, and they should be there!
Our winter is so far colder than usual, but little snow to shovel, so I'm not complaining.
