Parts 3 and 4 are PL OK. I did like the good old Yorkshire common sense about what became of the 'stolen' shilling.

I have one note for section 2:

4.09-4.14, top p. 13
...marked how the risking sun gilded the sails [heard ships] of the coaster a mile out at sea...

Hi Pam,

Looking forward to it! Just so you know - the room is wifi-less, so downloading and PLing will be done in separate stages. Being offline certainly has its charm, but it does mean the PLing will be a shade slow. Have a good weekend, and keep going with Captain Cook!

Hi Pam,

One note for section 6:

1.31-1.34, second half p. 37
...and £28 [heard 28 guineas] on a First Rate.

I hadn't really considered rates of pay, so this was very informative!

Hi Pam,

Section 06 is spot PL OK.

I wanted to flag one thing in 07:

20.34, first sentence of indented quotation p. 54
By Terra Antarctica [heard Australis]…

My concept of finding out new things by looking at scans seems terribly dull when compared to some of the things here. Mapping new territories! Sailing into heaven knows where! Exciting stuff.
