Hi Pam,

Sections 9 and 10 are PL OK. I did wonder if and how scurvy would be addressed. This book constantly throws up new things to marvel at, but I'm glad I wasn't on any of these voyages.

Hi Pam

Section 12 is PL OK. This book is going to have quite a following! I thought it had something for everybody - contact with new cultures, maritime life, eighteenth-century history - and now we have cows on board. If I'd given it a moment's thought I would have realised that of course there were cows on board, but yes, that was not something I expected to learn today!

Hi Pam,

I'm sorry, I didn't see section 13 earlier. I wasn't ignoring it! 13 and 14 are PL OK.

I only just realised how quickly this is going when I made a note of the page number. I didn't think it could possibly be halfway, let alone more, but so it is!

Hi Pam,

Section 15 is PL OK. Very glad to see Omai make an appearance, however briefly!

Yes, and thank you, Erin!

In the next section you will start seeing how Cook got himself killed. It was not a fluke, but part of a longstanding pattern of behavior.
