I took liberty in splitting Chapters 11 and 12 into two sections, respectively. There are now 26 sections(from 24 sections). I did it because I tend to fall asleep when listening to long chapters. And I believe I am not the only one. Hope that I didn’t do something wrong.

I am trying to reduce my mistakes in plural word and articles(a, the) which needs my special attention. And it seems that I could not get it right.

Korean language is very strong is descriptive words(visual, auditory, sensory) but not so logical about numbers and possession. If I say (in Korean) "Our wife likes to play tennis", Koreans will perfectly understand that I am talking about 'my' wife and she has only one husband(and that's me). If I say' "There is dish on the table", Koreans will understand that there is/are one or number of dishes and have absolutely no problem with this ambiguity.

You taught me something! I've studied a few languages besides English (Spanish, Russian, French) but had never encountered one where number is ambiguous. Thanks for the insight. Occasionally I have students from Korea in my classes, and this insight may help me help them more effectively. My Korean is non-existent.

I think you are doing a terrific job in your reading and hope you are finding the material interesting as well as just a challenging reading exercise. You are also absolutely correct that articles in English (as is word order in sentence structure--subject--verb--predicate) are distinguishing characteristics and difficult for non-native speakers.

Oh, by the way, Section 5 is PL-OK! Nicely done!

Hi Philip,

Section 6 is now up. I had to skip a few book names in Polish because I could not make a reliable guess about the pronunciation.
I hope I will be forgiven as there are English names in the text.

I can see this one has a chapter on Henryk Sienkiewicz with some Polish names at the beginning. If you need a pronunciation sample of those, I can be of help

Piotrek81 is (I believe) a native speaker of Polish who has done a good bit of reading here and has helped others with their pronunciation. You could PM him with your troublesome word list. I'm sure he could help. I'll go ahead and PL this in a day or so....
