The Two-Gun Man by Charles Alden Seltzer (1875 - 1942).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-two-gun-man-by-charles-alden-seltzer/
Rustlers are stealing Two Diamond cattle, and the manager is fit to be tied. The range boss claims it’s the neighbor, but there’s no proof. Everyone finds the neighbor’s sister desirable, but she finds everyone tedious (at best). Will lies, jealousy, double dealing, and maybe even a cold-blooded killing keep Ned Ferguson from uncovering the truth? (Tom Penn)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/19012
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Edit: Let me know whether you have someone in mind as DPL. We can advertise for one if not.

DrPGould has graciously agreed to DPL.

I noticed that the LV catalog has Charles Alden Seltzer listed as Charles Alan Seltzer. I have not yet come across any evidence that he ever used Alan as his middle name. If I don't find any I wonder if we (meaning you) can correct it?

Thanks.

Thank you!

When I click on this book on my reader section details page it doesn't take me anywhere.

Section 02 is ready for PL. Be careful where you stand, there could be a stray bullet.

Section 2 is PL-OK! (These events must've occurred on Sunday--all those Holy tomato cans  )

Many thanks,

Chapter 03 ready for PL

Do you think the cans were empty when they shot them? Or is it just that much messier now?
Oh, and you better watch your step in this chapter.

Tom:

Section 3 is PL-OK! I can certainly relate to fading in and out of reality, but things are clearing nicely. Follow up with the MD today. Only 10 more days and I can send this leather helmet back to Nagurski. :)
