Thanks for catching these! I recorded this about ten years ago and remember having to re-record portions because of things like truck noise (or a dog barking) often it was just a sentence or two. Those were probably removed and I failed to restore. I'll see if I can add the lines back in (if I can remember how to record anymore!) - the old sound may not match up with a modern system but it's better than missing the lines. Please let me know if you catch any others. Thanks to you and Linny for your time!DrPGould wrote: ↑April 15th, 2018, 7:06 pm Titurel:
Just a few notes for Section 11:
At 5:49 the phrase "marvelous in men's eyes" is omitted after "Fire god"
At 8:44 the phrase "mingling with the wind" is moitted following "he spake and vanished"
At 10:10: the lines While glowed the heart.....on high" are omitted following "On pressed Eurymachus"
Other than that, another fine reading!
Many thanks,
Philip

Titurel,
If you decide to use Audacity I'd be happy to walk you through the compression/amplification technique to balance the volume on your project.

Thanks Linny, I use Wave Pad; fortunately it was only a couple of sentences that need to be added. I was able to match it fairly well by make some adjustments in that program.
Thanks for making the corrections for me!
here is the corrected copy of chapter 11

We've some concern about the volume ranges , some bits are very soft . Many of our listeners are listening in high noise areas on fairly basic mp3 players . They meet our requirements but it's a pity if people can't hear it all - it's easy to level the volume a bit with Audacity and there has been an offer to do it if you would like that to happen ? Let us know .

Titurel:
Section 11 is now PL-OK. Corrections nicely made.
Notes for Section 14: Two lines were omitted.
At 5:20 "ever renowned" omitted before Epeius' work
At 14:23 "Then the son started up from sleep" is omitted before "and called his sire to mind"
Other than that, very well done.
Many thanks,
Philip
