The Jesus of History by T. R. (Terrot Reaveley) Glover (1869 - 1943).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-jesus-of-history-by-terrot-r-glover/
A collection of a series of lectures delivered while Glover was in India setting the life of Jesus into its historical context and seeing what lessons might be drawn from it. ( SkyRider)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13335
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

For the second and all subsequent sections, you may optionally use the shortened form of this intro disclaimer:

    • Upload your file with the LibriVox Uploader: https://librivox.org/login/uploader Image
(If you have trouble reading the image above, please message an admin)
    • You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: craigdav1
    • When your upload is complete, you will receive a link - please post it in this thread.
    • If this doesn't work, or you have questions, please check our How To Send Your Recording wiki page.

    Any questions?
There don't seem to be any books by Glover on the system yet so I wasn't sure about the form of name to give him - all the books I've seen by him seem to use the form "T. R. Glover" but I wondered if we wanted to include the actual forenames?

I'll provide a fuller description and more tags as I read the book.

I should also add that the number of sections may potentially grow. Many of the chapters are in the 6000-7000 word range. I hope I can do each as a single section but a few of them may potentially need to be split if the audio is too long.

I'll set this up for you.

Edit: Let me know when/if you change the summary or decide to add tags. The extra sections can be added as needed.

Well, I may as well get cracking while waiting for someone to volunteer to DPL.

It's the behemoth chapter next. I reckon I can do it in the requisite 70m but it may well click over the hour. :gulp:
