24 PL OK.

Have a pleasant "break away." As to the notes, it's your decision as to whether to include them. My recommendation would be not to include them.

re-do of chapter 26

I had to go back to the original raw file and then re-edit and master it again. That last version I submitted was a complete digital nightmare! Poor you!
The perils of using ancient 16 bit Adobe software on a new 64 bit laptop. I refuse to pay Adobe about £20 a month, forever, in order to use their latest and apparently excellent CC version.

I paid for a copy of Sound Forge recently but it's useless for editing audio down to a fine point and has an inferior spectrum view, of the wav file, to my other software..which is essential for finding those impossible to move clicks and bumps).

My very old CoolEdit 2 Pro, does a great job, and can run on Win 10 badly.. It was taken over from Syntrillium by Adobe. I use an OLD Adobe 1 version-which was exactly the same product-Still better than anything else I have used. I have tried and rejected Studio One, Audacity, Reaper, the new free Pro-Tools 1. ( really only for multi-tracking musicians engaged in the 'noise-wars')

The RNIB, where I cut my teeth on 'books for the blind' narration, from 1991 onwards and where I went on to record over a hundred unabridged works, used to use CoolEdi2 Pro and then Sadie (so too then, did The BBC, where I spent about 15 years working for its World and Domestic Radio Drama outlets).

Enough tech-talk. I can become a bit of a nerd sometimes.

Hope this 26 is ok

26 PL OK!

Don't get me started on "operating systems." On a happier note...I've been a listener to the BBC for decades and will confess to having a large collection of their programming on cd's, dvd's and an external hard drive. Mostly music and drama (e.g. Composer of the Week, classic literature dramatizations). It all started with, yup, Dr Who.

Oops, it seems I have missed sending up no 28 to you. DID I miss this...or worse, are there revisions needed after your PL?

30-had the same manic digital jumps as no 26..so it was back to the raw file for me, and another go at getting it right. Had to drop in a whole line of re-take. See if you can spot it!

Aaaargh!!

Just listened to my finalised 28.

It's getting to be like a worn out old car, which having strained every cylinder and rivet to climb the top of the hill, begins to, cough, stutter, shudder and with a bang..expire!

Sorry to expose you to that. I will have another go.
