  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13172
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

All set. Will hang out here for a day or two and hopefully pick up a DPL before we head off to Going Solo. :)

The preface is quite brief and I plan to combine it with the first chapter. Is that okay or should it have its own section? It’s approximately 200 words.

Wanted to check before I label sections in case another needs to be added.

Thanks again Jo!

I would be happy to DL for this project. I have plenty of time and usually check in every morning for any listening that needs to be done. I have the time to get a solo project done as fast as it is recorded if that is a priority.

Great!

I'm busy today with my mom's birthday and I'll be back to work tomorrow!

Can't wait to really read the details of this story.

Section 1 is PL perfect, FYI dB is 90

Colleen, your voice is so clear and clean. With your excellent pacing it is easy to listen to your recording.

Thanks for including me on this project!

Wow thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated! It’s hard to get over one’s squeamishness about hearing their own voice.

Colleen,

There are a few items that need editing;

33:10 "The" person and then repeat the correct "This person"

33:00 "A general" instead of gentleman (this is a little confusing since there is already a general in the story)

29:07-29:20 Repeat "Changing hotels . . . $9.50"

The rest of the recording is excellent.
