I may be coming out of the depths of despair because I found the pencil. (This happens to me a lot: I am ready to give up and voila, I find what I am looking for!) I also pasted the summary, though I am not at all sure that it went in the right place.

It looks like you found it! or someone did. There is a summary there right now. If you didn't do it, just edit the first post and put your own summary in it's place. let me know again if anything does not work. If you did indeed write and post that summary, please put (summary by Carol Pelster) or (summary by Wikipedia and Carol) or whathever after the summary. For some reason we always try to make sure we tell who wrote the summary to avoid copying something that is copyrighted.

I wrote the summary and pasted it in where I thought it should go, but some other kind person must have added the "summary by Carol Pelster " line because I didn't. Thank you all.
I did that Carol. Glad you don't mind. :D

This lovely story can now be found in our catalog at https://librivox.org/callista-by-john-henry-newman/

A huge vote of congratulations to the soloist Carol and also the DPL Cheryl.  This was a long novel but both persisted and now everyone will have this gem to listen to for ages to come.
