Cool. Here is a little video I made that may get you started. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cDPSmlTjGM&t=73s

Let me know if it confuses you more than necessary.

I guess I am confused. Does this mean that I have to have a new password? Will I have more than one password that goes with my username? Will I be losing my old password?

Yes Carol, you will have a separate password to get into the Workflow or Magic Window. Book Coordinators and DPLs are special and we want to only allow those responsible for the project to access and mess with the files and things. But once you have it, it is pretty much finished. From that time on it should remember you. Just click on Forgot Password, make up your 'new' one and dat's it.

Your Forum name, carolpelster, is always the same and never changes, that is a nice thing to know, eh?

EDIT: Once you have access to the magic window, you will be responsible for maintaining it; This video has some basic information START AT 9:50, skip the first part. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9H99OSKKA4&feature=youtu.be

as always, once you see how simple this is you will be gratified but the learning curve is a bit steep. Ask for confjusing stuff.

Hi, Phil
Sorry to be so dense, but when I changed my password and clicked on the BC Admin button, I got a white screen with this message:

You are not dense, it is just the system. Try to click on the option "return to Libriox Management Tool Homepage." and tell me what happens.

Hello, Phil and Cheryl

I have been busy reading and recording and just added some chapters to the magic window. I have gotten up to Chapter 11, which feels monumental.

Is this where I should be notifying you of the number of minutes and seconds of each chapter?
Here are the newest times:

Chapter Time

5 20:49
6 21:27
7 25:05
8 19:44
9 32:16
10 21:53
11 23:45

Please let me know if there is something I should be doing differently.
Thanks
Carol

I like the soloist to put the time in the 'notes' section of the Magic Window. This makes it easier for me to check 'em when validating. Other than that you are doing great!!
EDIT: you should be posting in the thread that youi have uploaded a section for proof listening; this will alert the DPL. Also, you shouild change the 'status' from 'assigned' to 'Ready for PL'. I did the first one to show you. When they listen they will post any changes, etc and eventually change the status to 'PL OK'.

Section 1 PL OK

Oh Carol, I am sorry I didn't know you were ready with so many chapters.
It would have been good for you to have feedback sooner.
Well, here is some feedback on chapter 1 - Great!
(Not an easy book to read either)
Yes, like Phil said, if you will please mark "ready for PL" in the status in the MW, it then shows up in my "dashboard" and I usually try to get it done in 24 hours. It will take me a few days to catch up with you.
If I find anything to correct I wlll set the status to "see PL notes" - Those will be in a post.
Then when you have made the corrections you set the status to "ready for spot PL", etc
If no errors are found (like now) I will set the status to PL OK :D

Section 12 PL OK
Section 13 PL Notes : The recording that was loaded is only 12 plus minutes - perfect as far as it goes.
Please post a note here in the forum when you have loaded a chapter. It is kind of a double entry - here and in the MW, but putting a note here causes an e-mail, and it is good to look here often to see PL notes, etc.
Thanks
Your reading is wonderful!
Cheryl
