History of the Norwegian People, Volume 2 by Knut Gjerset (1865 - 1936).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/history-of-the-norwegian-people-vol2-knut-gjerset/

A detailed and exhaustive history of the Norwegian People, written in two volumes. This second volume deals with Norwegian History from the 14th century to beyond Norwegian independence from Sweden in 1905, and covers topics such as: The Kalmar Union, early Democratic reforms, The Reformation in Norway, Norwegian Emigration, Separation of Norway and Denmark, war of 1814, Norway and the Union with Sweden, as well as Norwegians in the United States ( Ærik Bjørnsson)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/historyofnorwegi02gjeruoft
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Thank you all so much for saving these and not opening it up, I will definitely still be finishing these!

Circumstances in my life allow for small bursts of productivity punctuated by long gaps of working at my job.

Back to work editing and recording, now!

You know, I was going to record the entire thing and then just surprise you with a huge batch of finished work, but my voice is shot for a while so I'm just going to go on an editing spree with what I have recorded so far. Which to be fair, is around 17 hours, unedited. I'll drop them as I finish them so as not to overwhelm you. 40 Chapters of this work ready to be worked on though!
