Thanks for the heads up. I'm traveling a bit over the holidays, but will get on these once I'm back to my regular routine.

Betty,
Please add a section number to the start of 21.
On 29, at about 4.35, it sounds like "one wife", but I think it context it may be "but one wife". Can you check?
23, 30 & 32 are all PL OK. Sorry for the scattershot approach, it seems that my car doesn't play usb files in any particular order, so I'm taking them as they come.

Betty,
Couple of pauses which seemed maybe a bit long to me. Would like you to listen and see what you think.
in 14 - at 1.31, 2.29 and 5.09
in 42 - at 5.59

Betty,
Please check 45. At the beginning and end you say "section 44). Also:
0.15 - repeat "we have traveled"
0.54 - repeat "which give"
5.22 - pause and noise?
11.40 - repeat "the arabian horse"
12.25 - pause?

Turns out the sections were mixed up. Section 44 is PL OK. Please upload the correct file for section 45 - which appears right now to be an unedited version of section 44.
MaryAnn
No, actually I think I overwrote 45 with 44 at some point. Will upload a new 45 for you to PL.
Going forward I had a question about another Carpenter book. It sees he has three texts left in a similar series called World Travels. Canada, Alaska and the Holy Land. I was leaning toward Canada but on the copyright page it says 1926. In checking Wiki it seems he died in 1924 so it must have been published after his death. Is this ok to record or should I choose one of the others, which, I believe are 1922 and 1923?
Thanks you as always and apologize for the extra PL.

Thanks Betty,
I've seen the Holy Land book, and thought it would be interesting. Dibs on DPLing, if you will still have me.
Let's do a bit more research on the others. In the US, it doesn't matter when he died, the book itself needs to have been published before 1923.

Quick check of Archive turns up two scans of the Holy Land published in 1922:
https://archive.org/details/holylandsyria00carp_0
https://archive.org/details/holylandsyria00carp
Unfortunately, Alaska and Canada editions that I see are published after 1922, which makes them out of scope for us, unless there was a Project Gutenberg copyright clearance. To double check that, I searched Hathi Trust. It has both books, but not in full view. Hathi Trust screens for copyright before they post content, so the fact that they are catalog records only (and not full view books) indicates that Hathi Trust still thinks they are under copyright.
