History of a Literary Radical, and Other Essays by Randolph Silliman Bourne (1886 - 1918).

Quote:
A posthumous collection of Bourne's writing from publications such as The Atlantic Monthly and early issues of The New Republic, with a long introduction by his friend and colleague Van Wyck Brooks. Includes the influential and perennially relevant essay "Trans-National America" as well as a fragment from the autobiographical novel on which Bourne was working at the time of his death. IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Ok, you're all set up! I shortened the file name and tacked the _128kb on the end. If I've missed anything or can do anything else to help, let me know!

I'll move this to Going Solo as our team is all assembled. :)

Have fun!

Go team!

Hi Ben, great job on the introduction. PL ok and looking forward to the book.

Please make sure you post something in the thread when you upload a chapter. I rely on the "view your posts" to trigger me to PL. I do check my DPL list but not necessarily daily. I hope you weren't waiting long for feedback.

Hi Linny!

You are so quick on the draw! I had gotten the intro up about two hours ago and was having some trouble getting chapter one loaded, hence the delay in posting. But now you have another section to check out!

Thanks,

I'm so glad to know you weren't waiting around for me for a couple of days. Excellent!

Chapter 1
Do you want "section" or "chapter"? It doesn't matter to me but I do need to know so I can help make sure you remain consistent. Initial post and table of contents says chapter but in your intro and ending you used section. Other than that PL ok.

I think that as it's a collection of essays rather than numbered chapters, I'm going to go with "section."

Thanks for keeping me on top of it!

Hello!

Overdue for a check-in. I'm still here! Got some stuff in the can that I'm trying to carve out some time to edit, but I'm a bit swamped with life. I'll be back at it soon though!

Thanks,
Ben

No worries. At least by not posting between Sep. 15 and Oct. 13 you weren't affected by our crash. All your files are still on the server and no posts missing. :)

I had no idea about the crash! What a nightmare for you fine admins.

Well, hopefully this section comes through:

Hi Ben,
Section 2 is PL OK.

When you have a moment please update the intro you are using in the initial post.

Thanks! Initial post edited, in such a way that I think it doesn't screw anything up. If I'm wrong, let me know!
