miss stav and Helen, Chapters 23 and 24 overlap in our source, I think; in other words, the second half of 23 is also 24. However, the beginning of 24 is not in 23. I am assuming you want me to sort it out as sensibly as possible. It means, I think, that i have already read twenty-four and so will have to divide what I have sent as 23. Right?

It's Miss Stav, but I can also help while I'm here, so I checked and there's a mistake in the gutenberg text starting in the sentence of Chapter 23:
"Hum!" said Lady Jim, rejoicing that the prisoner judiciously saw to the closing of the door, before turning to meet Aksakoff's inquiring gaze.
In a scanned version that I found, it skipped 4 pages, jumping from page 311 to 316, which belongs to chapter 24. Check here from bottom of page 311, and the following pages, until start of page 316: https://archive.org/stream/ladyjimcurzonst00humegoog#page/n318/mode/2up

Would you be able to record the missing part of chapter 23 from the scanned version and replace it in the recording, and recreate chapter 24 from what you already recorded, adding the missing text at the beginning?

And I'll try to contact gutenberg.org to fix the text there.

I fixed 23, but forgot to save my portion of 24, so I will redo that.

Helen, I guess you will need to proof the last portion of 23--starts with "prisoner" at 21:05. Sorry, but the text was a mess.
