Jerusalem to Revelations - A Quartet of Spiritual Experience by William Blake and others

A Four Quartets for the End of Time, these works stretch from the death and rebirth of a living land, England/Albion, to the death of the world as we know it in the Book of Revelations, going by way of a journey of the soul through death into salvation in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, thence into Dante's journey into Hell, Purgatory and final union with his beloved Beatrice and his God. Herein you will find four ways to save your soul and live through death, regenerate a wasted land and, in doing so, enter the New Jerusalem. ( Tony Addison)

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/jerusalem-to-revelations-a-quartet-of-spiritual-explorations-by-unknown/

  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/propheticbooksof00blakrich / https://archive.org/details/TheEgyptianBookOfTheDead / http://oll.libertyfund.org/titles/alighieri-the-divine-comedy-in-3-vols-langdon-trans / http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

It had a big bite off the bottom here. Stunning!

I will get this set up and move you to Going Solo.

A little more recognition during his lifetime might have been nice.

Such is an artist's life. John Donne nearly killed himself so his wife and children could go live with her father (he wouldn't accept John) but then a church living came up and he became a divine, rather than a sensual, poet. Very good he was at it too. Here's the next two from Blake (if only he had married Jane Austen, I would be their perfect love child. At Least In My Opinion).
